Product Description:

Inherent Flame Resistance

This material features an inherent flame resistance with a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of 28% or higher. It self-extinguishes immediately upon removal of the flame, exhibiting no melting, dripping, or afterglow. It surpasses the rigorous standards set by NFPA 701 and ASTM D6413, ensuring permanent thermal protection that will neither wash out nor degrade over time.

Exceptional Tensile Strength

With a tensile strength of at least 3.2 GPa, this material is five times stronger than steel wire on a weight-for-weight basis. It is capable of enduring extreme mechanical stresses, making it highly suitable for high-tension applications such as ballistic panels, conveyor belts, and structural reinforcements.

Superior Abrasion Resistance

Engineered to perform in heavy-duty wear conditions, the material withstands over 60,000 Martindale cycles. It provides a service life that is three to five times longer than traditional polyester or nylon fabrics in applications subjected to intense friction, such as industrial sleeves, gaskets, and protective covers.

High Cut Resistance

Thanks to its tightly woven structure, the material offers high cut resistance rated at EN388 Level D and is equivalent to ANSI levels A4 to A5. This makes it an excellent choice for protective gloves, sleeves, aprons, and equipment shielding used in industries like metal fabrication, glass handling, and automotive manufacturing.

Excellent Thermal Stability

The material maintains excellent thermal stability, with a continuous operating temperature up to 250°C and a decomposition temperature exceeding 500°C. It preserves its mechanical integrity under extreme heat without undergoing shrinkage or degradation.

Chemical Resistance

It exhibits good resistance to a wide range of organic solvents, oils, and acids, except for concentrated sulfuric and nitric acids. This chemical resilience allows it to perform reliably in challenging environments such as chemical processing and filtration.

Lightweight Construction

Weighing only 260 grams per square meter, this material strikes an optimal balance between strength and weight. It is thin enough to be used in multi-layer composite laminations while remaining durable enough for use as a standalone fabric.

Features:

Para-aramid woven fabric weighing 260 grams per square meter is considered the benchmark for high-performance industrial textiles. Made entirely from 100% para-aramid fibers, equivalent in quality to Kevlar®, this fabric offers a unique combination of intrinsic flame resistance, exceptional tensile strength, and outstanding abrasion resistance, all within a lightweight material.

In contrast to flame-retardant textiles that rely on chemical treatments and lose their effectiveness after multiple washes, the fire-resistant properties of para-aramid are inherent at the molecular level. This means its protection is integrated into the polymer structure itself. When exposed to extreme heat, the fabric chars rather than melts or drips, and it does not support combustion, providing consistent safety throughout the material's lifespan.

At a weight of 260 g/m², this fabric achieves an optimal balance—substantial enough for rigorous protective uses, yet sufficiently light and flexible for comfortable wearable equipment and adaptable composite laminates. Its plain or twill weave construction ensures even strength distribution along both the warp and weft directions, effectively reducing the directional weaknesses commonly found in unidirectional fabrics.

Technical Parameters:

Technical Specifications

The material used in this product is 100% Para-Aramid Fiber, ensuring high durability and strength. The fabric has a weight of approximately 260 ± 10 grams per square meter, as measured by the ISO 3801 standard. Customers can choose between plain or twill weave types according to their requirements.

The thickness of the fabric ranges from about 0.35 to 0.40 millimeters, verified by ISO 5084. The width of the fabric can be customized within the range of 100 to 160 centimeters to suit different applications.

In terms of performance, the tensile strength for the warp direction is at least 2,500 Newtons per 5 centimeters, while the weft direction has a minimum tensile strength of 2,200 Newtons per 5 centimeters, both tested following ISO 13934-1. Tear strength is also notable, with the warp direction resisting forces of 150 Newtons or more, and the weft direction withstanding at least 130 Newtons, as per ISO 13937-2.

The fabric exhibits a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of 28% or higher, according to ASTM D2863, indicating good flame resistance. It is capable of continuous operation within a temperature range from -50°C up to +250°C, and it decomposes only above 500°C, as demonstrated through thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).

Durability is further enhanced by excellent abrasion resistance, enduring over 60,000 cycles based on the Martindale test (ISO 12947-2). The material also provides superior cut resistance, rated at EN388 Level D and ANSI A4 standards.

Heat shrinkage is minimal, with a maximum of 1.5% when exposed to 250°C for 30 minutes. The natural color of the fabric is golden yellow, although dyed options are available to meet specific aesthetic preferences. The minimum order quantity is set at 500 meters, but this can be negotiated depending on the customer's needs.
